Single letters are where the decorative alphabets are at their best, because the shapes have room to be seen.
Which alphabets are complete?
Script, gothic, bold, and outline have a full alphabet in both cases, so any word converts cleanly.
The circled and squared sets are the incomplete ones. Squared capitals exist without a lowercase pair, so this tool raises the text to capitals rather than returning a half-styled word.
Subscript is the most limited of all, since only some letters exist at all, and the missing ones come back unchanged.
Good uses for single letters
- An initial as a divider between sections of a bio.
- A circled capital as a bullet in a list where the app gives you no list formatting.
- A squared capital for a short tag or a label.
- Avoid mixing two alphabets inside one word, which is the fastest way to make text look accidental.
Tip: I used circled capitals as numbering in a bio because the app stripped out my line breaks and everything ran together. It gave the list structure without needing any formatting, and it still reads correctly on every phone I have tested.
