Choosing a style from a list of names is guesswork. Bold script and script sound similar and look nothing alike once your own words are in them.
Seeing all of them against your actual text is the point of this page, because the right one usually becomes obvious in a second.
Comparing properly
- Use your real text rather than a sample, since style choices that work for a short word often fail for a long one.
- Filter by style group to narrow the list when you already know roughly what you want.
- Save two or three candidates with the heart and compare them in the saved panel side by side.
- Look at the shortlist on your phone as well as your computer, because that is where most people will see it.
Why the same style looks different in two apps
Each app draws these characters with whatever font it has available, and coverage differs. One app may have a proper glyph for a gothic letter while another falls back to a generic shape.
That is normal and not something a generator can control, which is why testing in the destination app is worth the extra step.
Tip: I picked a style from a screenshot on another site and it looked completely different with my own name in it, because the sample word was short and mine was not. Comparing with your real text takes the guesswork out.
